Custom Exon Junction Arrays Offered by Jivan

(Oct. 14, 2005) – Custom exon junction microarrays are now available from Jivan Biologics, a privately held company. Designed to detect RNA splicing events in biological samples, Jivan's custom exon junction arrays enable scientists to focus on a set of human genes ranging from a small pathway to the entire genome.

Jivan 's new custom exon junction microarrays offer speed, flexibility and comprehensiveness of design. Customers can select from an already designed and validated genome-wide probe set. Customers can also choose their preferred platform and manufacturer. The exon junction probes are available in versions optimized for multiple manufacturers, including Agilent Technologies and ArrayIt Life Sciences.

RNA splicing is often specific to disease, drug response, patient population, cell type, intracellular location and biological function. Jivan's exon junction arrays can be used to detect known splice events and also discover novel splice variants.
