Jivan Awarded NIAAA Grant to Study Alcohol-Induced RNA Splicing
(Oct 05, 2006) – Jivan Biologics has been awarded an SBIR Phase I grant from the National Instituate of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) at the National Institute of Health to profile RNA splicing changes induced by alcohol exposure. In the study, Jivan will use its genome-wide splice variant microarrays to assay blood samples at multiple time points using a monkey model. The project will be conducted in collaboration with researchers at Wake Forest University.
